Nishant Dal Mill

Nishant Dal Mill is located in Village Usrahi Deodha. This is in the Jaynagar Tehsil of Madhubani district. We are out in the countryside. It’s a quiet place compared to the cities. We process dal here. It’s what we’ve always done. The mill is right at the post of Usrahi Deodha. We aren't a big factory with hundreds of workers. It’s just a small family-run business. We have our machines and we work when there is work to be done. Living and working in the village means we know everyone around. We don’t have any fancy signs or big office buildings. It’s just the mill. Madhubani is known for many things, and we are just one small part of it. We don't use any marketing tricks. We just show people the quality of the dal we produce. If they like it, they come back. We have had customers for many years. Sometimes the roads around Usrahi Deodha get a bit rough during the rains. But we stay open. We just do our work and don't complain much. Jaynagar is the closest town, so we go there when we need supplies. Nishant Dal Mill is a simple operation. We don't have a mission statement or anything. We just want to do a decent job every day. It’s a way of life for us here in the village. We like it this way.
