Our base is in the village of Chiraila, over in the Aurangabad area of Bihar. We use Kamal Kishor Singh’s place as our main point of contact. It is a bit far out, near Jagdishpur and Barun, but we do work all over the region, even reaching towards Darbhanga sometimes. We are an engineering and construction firm, though that sounds more formal than we actually are. Most days it is just us in our work boots, checking on materials or talking to the laborers. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just rely on the fact that we have been doing this for a long time. People in the village know us. We deal with the usual stuff like late deliveries, bad weather, and equipment breaking down. It is part of the life. We started this company because we wanted to work for ourselves and build things that last. The office is just a room with some old chairs and a lot of maps on the wall. We aren't trying to be famous or wealthy, just trying to keep the projects moving. If you come to Chiraila, you can find us easily enough. We are usually the ones busy with a level or a measuring tape. It is a simple life and we are okay with that. We don't spend time on things that don't matter.
