Maaasha Shree Foundation

Maaasha Shree Foundation is based over in Bahadurpur, which is part of the Laheriyasarai area in Darbhanga. We work out of the home of Ravi Ranjan, who is the son of Ram Kumar Mishra. It’s a family-oriented setup in a very busy part of town. Darbhanga is a place with a lot of soul, and we try to reflect that in how we run our foundation. We aren't interested in being a polished, corporate entity. We just want to be a place where people from Bahadurpur can come when they need a bit of support or have an idea for the neighborhood. It’s a very hands-on operation. Ravi is usually around to talk to whoever stops by. We don’t have a set of fancy rules or a mission statement pinned to the wall. We just try to be practical. If something needs doing in Laheriyasarai, we see if we can help out. It might be something small, or it might take a few weeks to sort out, but we don't mind the work. The foundation is just our way of being involved in our community. We know most of the people on our street, and they know us. That makes the work feel more personal and less like a job. We’re just local residents who care about Darbhanga and wanted to put a name to our efforts. It’s not perfect, and it’s often a bit chaotic, but it’s how we do things here.
