Jindal Steel

Out here in Madhubani, Bihar, things move at their own pace. We are located at the address for Jindal Steel here in town, pincode 847229. It’s a pretty basic operation. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s mostly just a place to store the steel and a small desk where I sit to handle the money and the papers. The floor is concrete and there’s always a bit of red dirt blown in from the road. We get a lot of local builders and farmers coming in. We talk about the weather and the crops as much as we talk about the steel. It’s a very human way of doing business. We aren't trying to be a big corporate entity. We're just a local point for Jindal Steel. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit of a mess, and we have to wait for things to dry out. It’s not a perfect system, but we make it work. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while now. People know us, and we know them. There’s no need for big advertisements or polished speeches. We just show up, do the work, and go home to our families. It’s simple, it’s honest, and it keeps us busy. That’s all we really need out here. We just take it one day at a time.
