Our team is currently stationed over at the Kosi Bridge Project. We are located in Nirmali, which is in the Supoul district of Bihar. To get to us, you usually have to go via Darbhanga. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but this is where the work is. The office is a simple setup near the bridge site. It’s mostly just cabins and temporary structures because we go where the project takes us. It gets very hot here in the summer, and the monsoon season makes everything a bit muddy and difficult. But we just keep at it. We aren't here for the comforts. We are here to see this bridge through to the end. There are lots of us working on this, from engineers to laborers. We eat together and talk about the day's progress in the evenings. It’s a basic way of living. We don’t have much in the way of amenities, just the essentials to keep the project moving forward. The Kosi River is a powerful thing, and being this close to it is a constant reminder of why we’re here. If you’re looking for us, just ask anyone in Nirmali about the bridge project; they’ll point you in the right direction. It’s a big job and it takes up all our time. We're just regular people doing a hard job in a remote part of Bihar, and we're okay with that.
