We started Ekta Jan Kalyan Nidhi Limited in Singhwara because people here needed a place to keep their money safe nearby. You can find us at Satendra Kumar Pandey’s place, he’s the son of Ramsagar Pandey, in the Tola-Singhwara area. It’s right in the heart of Singhwara South in Darbhanga. Most of the time, it’s just us sitting around the desk, helping folks from the village with their small savings accounts. We don't have any flashy signs or big corporate offices. It’s just a room where we handle the books and talk to our neighbors about their financial needs. Living in Darbhanga 847106, everyone knows everyone, so we have to be careful and honest with everything we do. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy, but we always make sure the numbers add up at the end of the day. It’s a lot of responsibility looking after the village’s money, but we’ve lived here all our lives, so we understand what people are going through. Whether it's a small loan for a local project or just putting away a few rupees every week, we try to make it easy. The walk over to our spot in the village is short for most, and there is usually a chair and some water waiting for anyone who comes by to talk business. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make things a little easier for the people right here in our own community.
