You can find us over at the Guddu Rest House near Allalpatti Chowk. It’s a well-known area because Paras Hospital is right nearby. We are in a busy part of town where there is always something going on. The traffic at the chowk can be a nightmare in the evenings. Our clinic is a bit of a sanctuary from that noise, though you can still hear the horns honking. We see a lot of trauma cases here, which means people who have been in accidents. It can be quite intense. We don't have a lot of frills. The walls are plain, and the furniture is just basic stuff that gets the job done. I spend my time balancing the books and talking to patients who are often in a lot of pain. We try to be quick but careful. It’s a practical environment. We have the usual stuff like X-ray viewers and exam tables. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in. That’s just part of living and working here. We get to know the families because they often stay nearby at the rest house while someone is getting treated. It’s a community effort, really. We just do our best to fix the breaks and wounds that come through the door every day. It is hard work, but someone has to do it, and we have been here for a long time now.
