Azmi Hospital

Azmi Hospital is situated right by Benta Chowk in Darbhanga. If you know the area at all, you know how busy Benta Chowk can get with all the traffic and the noise from the shops. Our hospital has become a bit of a landmark for people in this part of town. It’s not one of those new, glass-fronted buildings you see in the bigger cities like Delhi. It’s a sturdy, older building that has seen a lot of use and a lot of patients over the years. We have several beds for patients who need to stay overnight, and a small area specifically for emergencies. The hallways are often filled with families waiting to hear news, which can make it feel a bit cramped at times. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls, just some old health posters and hand-painted signs pointing to the different rooms. Our staff works very hard, but we are a small team for the number of people who walk through the doors. Sometimes the wait times can be a bit long, especially on market days when more people are visiting from the villages. We handle a bit of everything, from broken bones to more serious illnesses that require a stay. It’s a busy, noisy, and very real place. We don’t use any corporate talk here. We just tell people the situation and do our best with what we have.
