Ananad Kumar

Out here in Village Ranpatti, things move a bit slower than the big cities. My name is Ananad Kumar and this is where I work from. The post office is over at Matiyar, and we fall under T.K Manjhi. It’s a rural area, so everyone knows where everyone else is. The work I do is simple and based right here in the village. You won't find any big glass buildings or paved parking lots here. It’s mostly dirt roads and open space. Being in a small village like Ranpatti means the business is tied to the local community. I spend my time dealing with whatever tasks are at hand for the day. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when the rains come and the roads get muddy. But we manage. This isn't a corporate setup. It’s just me working out of this location. People stop by when they need something, and we talk. It’s more about the person-to-person interaction than anything else. Life in the village is what it is, and the business reflects that.
