Aditi Indian Arts Heritage

Aditi Indian Arts Heritage is tucked away in Chitragupta Nagar. Our place is actually Priyamvada Niwas, which is quite close to Patwa Pokhar in Kadirabad. Being near the water means we get a bit of a breeze sometimes, which is nice in the summer. The shop is filled with all sorts of pieces we’ve collected or had made. There are boxes stacked in the corners because we run out of room on the tables. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, so it’s usually quieter here than in the center of Kadirabad. I spend most of my mornings dusting the items because the fine dust gets everywhere. It’s a bit of a family affair, really. We live nearby, so the shop feels more like an extension of the house than a formal business. People who come to the Patwa Pokhar often wander over to see what we have. I’m usually sitting at the wooden table in the middle, working on some paperwork or checking the inventory list. The walls are covered in shelves that go almost to the ceiling. I have to use a small wooden ladder to reach the stuff at the top. It’s not a fancy gallery; it’s just a house full of things that we look after. Sometimes the neighborhood kids play outside, and you can hear them through the windows while you’re trying to count the stock. It is a steady way to spend the day.
