The town of Kirandul was built around this work. Our office is a plain building. It’s built for function, not for looks. We spend our days managing the local side of things. It’s a lot of logistical work and keeping track of people. We don't wear fancy clothes here. Most of us are in sturdy boots and shirts that can handle the dust. The weather is either very hot or very rainy. We just get used to it. The community in Dantewada is tight. Since we are far from the big cities, we rely on each other. We have our own routine.
