Ratan Plastics Industries. Somnath Road. Just across from the temple. Usually, the bells ring and you can hear them over the machines. It's a busy spot, especially during festivals. We've been here at Plot No-34 A for a long time now. The road gets dusty in the summer, and sometimes the traffic is a mess because of all the pilgrims coming to see the temple. We mostly deal with plastic stuff, keeping the floor busy throughout the day. My brother and I manage most of the things. It isn't a huge place, just a standard industrial plot but we make it work. Most days start around eight and we don’t wrap up until the sun is well down. There is a small tea stall just a few steps away where we usually take our breaks. You see the same faces every day, which is nice. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit outside and wait for it to come back. It is just how things go around here. People know us by the sign out front, though it's gotten a bit faded from the sun lately. We just keep our heads down and get the orders done. It’s a simple life, really. Somnath is a good place to be, even if the humidity makes the plastic smell a bit stronger in the afternoons. We don't have a fancy office, just a desk with a lot of papers on it and a chair that squeaks whenever you sit down. We just keep moving and doing what we do every day.
