Propack Industries

Down on Zari Causeway Road, just opposite the Sabri Complex, is where our factory sits. Propack Industries has been in Kachigam for a long time. It’s right behind the Manek Industrial Estate, so there’s always the sound of machines and trucks in the background. It’s an industrial area, through and through. The air smells like production and the roads are always busy with people moving goods. Our space is functional—concrete floors, heavy benches, and plenty of room for the packaging work we do. It’s hot in the summer, but we have big fans that keep the air moving. We aren't into fancy presentations. Our focus is on the machines and making sure they don't break down in the middle of a run. If something stops, we fix it ourselves. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad, though the Causeway can get flooded when the rain is heavy. We’ve seen other shops come and go, but we’re still here, doing the same thing we did years ago. It’s honest work. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and packing. There’s a rhythm to it that you get used to after a while. Sometimes we eat lunch by the loading dock just to see who’s coming and going on the road. It’s a busy life, but it suits us well enough here in Kachigam. We just get on with it and try to stay organized.
