Prime Housewares Ltd is located on Gudidc Somnath Road, at 39-39A. It’s a big enough space for what we do, but it always feels full to the brim. We have stacks of household items everywhere you look. Sometimes you have to zig-zag through the aisles just to find a stapler or a piece of tape. The road outside is usually dusty, and there’s always some construction going on nearby that makes a lot of noise. We’ve been here through the rainy seasons and the heatwaves, and the building has its own little quirks. The roof leaks a tiny bit in one corner when it pours, so we’ve learned exactly where not to put the cardboard boxes. Most of us who work here live not too far away, so we know all the local shortcuts to avoid the traffic. We don’t have a fancy lunchroom, just a small table in the back where we sit and eat our tiffin boxes. We talk about the news or what’s happening with the families in the neighborhood. The work at Prime Housewares Ltd is mostly about keeping things organized. It’s very easy to lose track of things if you aren’t paying attention. We use a lot of markers and labels to stay on top of it. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady work.
