Ajanta Packaging

Ajanta Packaging is located at Plot C-5 in the Mahatma Gandhi Ind Estate, right in the Gidc area of Dabhel. It is a pretty busy spot with a lot of trucks moving in and out all day long. Most of the time, the air is thick with the smell of cardboard and ink. We spend our days making sure the boxes are cut right and the labels are stuck on where they belong. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a regular industrial unit with high ceilings and some fans that don't always do enough against the heat. There’s a tea stall just down the road where most of us head during the afternoon break. Sometimes the machines get loud, and you have to shout a bit to be heard over the racket. We’ve been in this part of Dabhel for quite a few years. It’s mostly just a group of us who know how to handle the equipment and get the orders out the door. We don't really have a fancy office, just a corner with a desk and some old files stacked up. When the rain comes during monsoon, the road outside gets a bit muddy, but we keep things moving inside. It’s a lot of hard work, but it’s what we do here at Plot C-5. Everyone knows their job and we just get on with it.
