Arihant Polyforms is located at 257/3 in the Daman Industrial Estate, right on Somnath Road in Kachigam. Being in Daman, it gets quite humid, especially in the monsoon season. We work with plastics and polyforms, so the machines are always running and making a certain amount of heat. The industrial estate is a busy place with a lot of different factories side by side. Our spot on Somnath Road is easy enough to find once you get into the Kachigam area. We spend our days watching the molds and making sure the plastic shapes are coming out the way they should. It’s not the cleanest job, as there is always some dust or plastic shavings around, but we try to keep the main workspace organized. There are a few of us who have been here since the start, and we’ve seen the estate grow quite a bit over the years. We take our lunches together under the shade when it’s too hot inside. We don’t have any fancy signs or big marketing displays. Most people who deal with us know the address and just send their trucks over when they need something. The rhythm of the day is mostly set by the production schedule and the sound of the cooling fans. It is just a regular factory life where we focus on getting the work done and heading home to our families in the evening. This is how we have always done things.
