Viksar Overseas Exports is based at D No 4/7/670 on K R Road in Karangalpady. It’s a busy enough part of the area, and we’ve been operating from here for a good while. We handle all the typical things you’d expect with overseas trade, mostly just sitting at our desks and making sure the numbers and the destinations match up. It isn't always the most exciting work, but it’s what we know how to do. The building is older and has its quirks, like the way the door sticks in the rain or how loud the street noise gets when the buses go past. We have a few people who handle the different parts of the business, from talking to suppliers to checking on the containers. It’s a practical setup without any of those modern office features that don't really help you work any faster anyway. Karangalpady is a nice place to be, even if the parking on K R Road is a nightmare most days. We just keep our heads down and try to stay on top of the regulations and the shipping schedules. Sometimes things get delayed at the port or there’s a mistake in the paperwork, and we just have to sit there and fix it one line at a time. That’s just the nature of this kind of business. We’re just regular people trying to run a decent export house.
