Trupna Polymer Products is right here in Surathkal, basically across from Vidyadayinee School. If you’re driving on the NH-17 main road, you’ll see us near the Vishal Mosaic Tiles Compound. It's a busy spot with all the traffic passing by. We work with polymers and plastic materials every day. The machines can get pretty loud, especially in the afternoons. Most of us live nearby, so it’s a short commute. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. It’s a practical kind of job. We handle a lot of different orders, some big and some small. There’s always dust or scraps around the floor that need sweeping. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations. The focus is usually on the next batch of products coming off the line. Sometimes the heat from the molds makes it a bit stuffy in the back. We just crack a window and keep going. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. People stop by sometimes just because they saw the sign while heading to the school. We just show them what we’re working on and go back to it. The rain can be a real pain during the monsoon because the road outside gets all muddy. We usually have to move some of the stock inside to keep it dry. The neighbors at the tile compound are good folks, and we occasionally lend each other tools. It’s that kind of place. We don’t really have a big fancy sign. We just stay busy and keep the machines running.
