St. Joseph'S Asylum Industrial Workshops

This workshop is located at P. B. No. 502 on Fr. Muller'S Road in the Jeppu area. It is a place with a lot of history behind it and you can feel that when you walk through the doors. The buildings are old and solid, built to last, just like the work we try to do here. We have different sections for different types of industrial tasks and there is always the sound of hammers or machines echoing through the halls. It is a large site so you can easily get turned around if you are not careful. We don't have any fancy signage or bright lights to attract people. Most people in Jeppu know where we are anyway. The atmosphere is very practical and nobody wastes much time on talk when there is work to be finished. We have a lot of tools that have been used for decades and they still work better than some of the new stuff you buy today. The yard outside is often full of materials waiting to be moved into the workshops. We keep a regular schedule and things start early in the morning when the sun is still low. It is a steady kind of life here on Fr. Muller'S Road. We just keep our heads down and focus on the tasks at hand until the whistle blows at the end of the day. It is a simple setup but it works for us and has for many years.
