Sattva Chits is located in Mangalore, specifically on the 1st floor of the B wing at Door No. 13-4-529/7 and 1. We are in the Dakshina Kannada district, and we’ve been running our chit fund business from this office for some time now. Being on the first floor, it’s a bit away from the street noise, which is nice when we’re trying to focus on the accounts. The office itself is pretty plain. We have desks for the staff and plenty of shelf space for all the files we have to keep. Dealing with chits involves a lot of documentation and constant updates to the ledgers. We spend our days meeting with members who come by to pay their installments or to participate in the auctions. It’s a steady stream of people throughout the month. We don't use any fancy management software; we mostly stick to what we know works for us. Mangalore is a place where people value trust, so we try to be as straightforward as possible with everyone. We don't have a marketing department or anything. We just open the office every day and handle the transactions as they come. It’s practical work that keeps us involved with the local community. We just keep our heads down and make sure the math is right at the end of every day. If someone has a question, they just walk in and ask us, and we do our best to help them out.
