We are based out of Kindow House in Periyadka, which is a bit of a quiet spot in Uppinangadi. Most people around here just know us for the construction work we do on local houses and small buildings. It’s not a massive operation, just a handful of us getting our hands dirty every day. The weather in DK can be pretty rough during the monsoon, so half the time we are just trying to keep the cement dry and the site from turning into a mud pit. We’ve got a couple of old trucks and some basic tools that have seen better days, but they still work well enough for what we need. Dealing with local permits and finding good labor is always a bit of a headache, but we manage. You can usually find someone in the office during the morning before we head out to the sites. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a big fancy showroom or anything like that. Just some blueprints, a lot of dusty boots, and a kettle for making tea when the afternoon slump hits. The roads around here aren't the best, so moving materials takes longer than you’d think. We just take it one day at a time, finishing one wall or one floor before moving to the next job. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough to pay the bills for the families involved.
