Out here in Laila Ujire, we run the Prasanna College Of Ayurveda And Hospital. It’s a very different pace than the big city hospitals you see elsewhere. We spend our time split between the classrooms and the hospital beds. The students are always around, learning about the old ways of healing and how to apply them to people today. It’s a lot of work keeping both the college side and the hospital side running smoothly at the same time. We grow a lot of the things we use, and there’s almost always the smell of herbs in the air. People come to us from all over the local area when they aren't feeling well. The atmosphere is quite grounded because we value the natural way of doing things, though we don't make a big show of it. It’s just how we live and work here. Laila Ujire is a quiet spot, which actually helps with the healing part of the process. You won't find any corporate buzzwords here, just people studying hard and patients looking to feel better. Sometimes the rain gets really heavy and we have to move quickly to make sure everything stays dry and safe. We’ve got a dedicated team who lives and breathes this stuff. It's not just a job for them; it’s more like a way of life. We keep things simple and focus on the education of the next generation while looking after the folks who need us right now.
