You can find us at Plot No. 12 in the Timber Yard near New Mangalore Port. Patel Babulal Pranlal & Bros. has been operating out here on Beach Road in Panambur for quite some time. Being near the port means there is always a salty breeze and the sound of ships. It’s a heavy industrial area, so it’s not exactly quiet or pretty. We spend our days surrounded by stacks of wood and the smell of the sea. It’s a family business, like the name says. Brothers and cousins all chip in to keep things moving. We aren't the type to wear suits or sit in air-conditioned offices all day. We’re usually out in the yard checking the stock. The weather can be tough with the rain and the humidity, but we’re used to it by now. People come to us from all over because we’re right here by the docks. It makes transport easier for some things. We don’t spend money on big ads. Most folks find us because they’re already down at the port for other business. We keep our prices fair and our talk short. It’s a busy life, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. The port is always moving, and so are we. We have a lot of history here and we plan to keep it that way for the next generation of the family.
