Karavali International is situated over in Ampar Village, which is a bit of a drive from Kundapura. Our address is 1/14B in Shankattu. It’s a very local setup, right in the heart of the village area where everyone knows each other. We work with textiles, though you wouldn’t know it from looking at the outside of the building. It’s just a standard structure that fits in with the rest of the neighborhood. The Udupi weather can be quite damp, so we have to be careful about how we store the fabrics. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and making sure things are moving along as they should. There isn't a lot of foot traffic around here, mostly just locals and the occasional delivery truck trying to find its way through the village roads. We like the pace of life in Ampar. It’s not like the city where everything is a rush. We take our time with the textile work and make sure we don't miss any details. Sometimes we have to deal with the usual village problems, like a blocked road or a heavy monsoon rain that keeps us indoors, but we manage. It’s a small operation, really. Just a few of us making sure the textile business stays afloat in this part of Karnataka. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till evening.
