J&P Construction Company,Doha,Qatar

J&P Construction Company is based out of Arya House in Modankap. It is in the Bantwal taluk of Karnataka. Even though the name says Doha, Qatar, this is where we handle the local side of things. It’s a family-run sort of feel here. The office is basically part of the house. We have some desks set up and a lot of blueprints rolled up in the corners. Outside, you can see the coconut trees and the typical greenery of the Dakshina Kannada district. It is a long way from the big building sites in the Middle East. We spend our days coordinating with workers and checking on equipment. Sometimes the phone rings at odd hours because of the time difference with Qatar. We just answer it and get on with it. It’s a lot of logistical work, making sure people have their papers ready for travel or checking on project updates. The neighborhood is quiet, and the neighbors often stop by for a chat. We don’t have a big corporate lobby or a receptionist. Usually, it’s just one of us coming to the door when someone knocks. It is a practical way to run a business without all the extra costs of a city office. We like being here in Bantwal. It is home for us, and we manage to get everything done from this small spot in Modankap just fine.
