Indiana Hospital & Heart Institute

We've been here at Pumpwell for a good while now. It’s a busy spot, and Indiana Hospital & Heart Institute is right in the middle of it. Mostly, folks come in when they’re having heart trouble or just feeling off. The building is easy enough to find. Most of us who work here live nearby. We spend our days checking monitors, talking to patients, and making sure the floors stay clean. It’s not always quiet. Actually, it’s rarely quiet. There’s always an ambulance pulling up or someone in the waiting room drinking tea. We handle a lot of cardiac cases because that’s what we’re set up for. The doctors stay busy. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up, but we get through it. It isn't a fancy place with gold-plated everything, just a regular hospital where we try to fix what’s broken. We have different wards and some specialized machines for the heart stuff. People from all over the local area show up. We know the neighbors. We know the shortcuts around Pumpwell too. If you're looking for us, we're right by the main road. It’s a job that keeps us on our feet. Sometimes we’re tired after a long shift, but that's just how it goes in a place like this. We just keep things running day and night, making sure there's always someone on duty when the doors open. We even have a little canteen in the back where the coffee is usually too hot.
