We set up the Gmrv Foundation over at 16-4-321/3 in Kalpanalane because we wanted to do something useful for the community. It’s not a huge office or anything, just a few rooms where we organize our projects. Most days involve a lot of paperwork and phone calls to see who needs help or where we can send supplies. Kalpanalane is a busy little area, so there’s always something happening outside our door. We’ve been here for a bit now, and the neighbors know us. The furniture inside is a bit mismatched, mostly stuff we picked up over time. We aren't really into fancy decorations or big signs. It’s more about the actual work we do day to day. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when several people are trying to talk at once, but we manage. We aren't a big city corporation with a hundred employees. It’s just a small group of us trying to make things work from this spot in the lane. We spend a lot of time just talking to folks who stop by to ask questions. If the door is open, someone is usually inside working on a spreadsheet or making lists for the next project. It’s practical work. We don’t have a slick presentation or anything like that. We just show up every morning, drink some tea, and see what needs to be dealt with first. It's not glamorous, but it keeps us busy and feels right.
