Free Lancing

My place is in Upper Bendoor, house number 15-4-198/1. It’s a nice part of Mangalore, and I’ve lived here for a long time. I started doing this freelancing work from home because it just made sense. I don’t have a big office or a team of people. It’s just me in my room with a couple of fans going to keep the heat away. The weather here in Karnataka can get pretty humid, so I mostly stay inside during the afternoons. My work is pretty straightforward. People send me things they need help with, and I spend my time getting it done. I don’t have any fancy brochures or a sales team. It’s mostly just word of mouth or people finding me online. I like the pace of life here in Mangalore. It’s not as crazy as the bigger cities, and I can focus on what I’m doing. Sometimes I take a break and walk down the road to get some fresh air. I don’t use any complicated systems. I just keep a notebook of what needs to be finished and check things off as I go. It’s a simple way to work, and it suits me just fine. Being my own boss means I have to be disciplined, which isn't always easy, but I manage. Just me, my computer, and the sound of the rain outside sometimes.
