Our place, Bright Global Tex Industries Private Limited, is located out in the Baikampady industrial area, specifically at 162 B. If you know New Mangalore, you know it’s a lot of factories and sheds out here. It’s a good spot for what we do because we have the space we need for the machinery and all the textile materials we handle. It isn’t the quietest part of town, but that’s just how it goes in an industrial zone. We spend most of our hours on the floor, making sure the production keeps moving along. It’s hard work and the coastal weather here in Mangalore can get pretty humid, which makes things a bit sticky in the afternoons, but we get on with it. We’ve been at this address for a bit now and the neighbors are all doing similar stuff, so there’s a lot of trucks coming and going. We don’t have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a functional space where we can get the job done. Sometimes the power goes out or things get delayed, but we just try to keep things steady. It’s a straightforward operation. We focus on the textile work and try not to get bogged down by the small stuff. Most of our day is just checking the machines and talking to the drivers. It’s a simple way to earn a living out here by the port, and we've been doing it this way for years.
