Bombe Fruit Winery Private Limited

We are located at Kodange House in Kokkada Village, which is part of Belthagady Taluk. It is a rural area, very different from the noise of a city like Bangalore. Bombe Fruit Winery is a Private Limited company, but it functions more like a small farm operation. We work with different types of fruits to make our wine. Since it’s a winery, everything happens at a much slower pace. You can't rush the process. We get our fruit from the surrounding areas and bring it back to the house. Kokkada Post is where our mail goes, and everyone in the village knows where we are. The smell of fermenting fruit is something you get used to pretty quickly. We spend a lot of time checking on the vats and making sure the temperature is right. It is not a high-tech factory. It is just a house with some specialized rooms. When it rains, the roads out here get quite muddy and difficult, so we have to plan our transport carefully. We have a few locals who help us out with the heavy lifting. We don’t do much advertising at all. People usually find out about us through word of mouth. It’s a quiet life and we spend most of our time outdoors or in the storage rooms. We just aim to make something decent from the fruit we have. It is hard work but very peaceful out here in the village.
