Bluemoon Bottling Co.

Up here in Ajjinadka, things are a bit more relaxed than in the big cities. We’re located at No. 124, right in the Kotekar post area. Bluemoon Bottling Co. is basically a local operation. We spend our days filling bottles and making sure the caps are on tight. It’s repetitive work, but there’s something okay about the rhythm of it. The air is a bit fresher here than it is further inland. We have a small team of local guys who come in every morning. We don’t really have any big bosses in suits coming around. It’s just us. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we have to spend the whole afternoon with wrenches and oil trying to get it moving again. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us in our work shirts moving pallets around. It’s a practical business. We’ve been in Kotekar for a while and we know the delivery routes like the back of our hands. We just try to get the water out to the shops and homes without any drama. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s important. We’ve got a good view of the trees from the back loading dock. That’s usually where we take our lunch breaks and just enjoy the quiet for a few minutes before going back in. It’s a steady job for everyone here and we like it.
