Apollo Hospital

We are located at Bi Fathima in the Nitte Post area of Karkala Taluk. It is a quiet part of Karnataka, far away from the big city rush. The hospital is a basic building but it serves the people living around here well. We see a lot of folks coming in from the nearby villages and farms. The air out here is fresh, especially after it rains, which happens quite a bit. Our staff is mostly local people who have lived in this district their whole lives. Inside, the floors are kept clean and there is always the smell of disinfectant in the halls. We have a small area for people to wait, and it usually gets quite full in the mornings. There is no big cafeteria or anything, just a small place to get water. We handle the daily bumps and bruises, and the more serious stuff too when it comes up. The road leading to the post is lined with trees and it is a peaceful drive most days. We don’t have high-tech gadgets everywhere, just the essential things needed to take care of patients. People know us by name around here, which makes the work feel more personal. We spend a lot of time filling out charts by hand. It is a steady life and we are glad to be part of the Nitte community. Some days are long, but we just take it one person at a time.
