New Maha Laxmi Basan Store

You’ll find us on D. B. Road Para in Gangarampur. We mostly sell kitchenware and stainless steel utensils, which is why we have the word "Basan" in the name. It’s a traditional kind of shop where everything is stacked from the floor right up to the ceiling. We’ve got pots, pans, plates, and all the small things a family needs for their kitchen. Most of the stuff we sell is meant to last for many years. It’s not that thin plastic stuff you see in big supermarkets these days. People come to us when they are getting married or setting up a new house for the first time. We spend a lot of time polishing the brass and steel so it looks decent on the shelves. The shop is a bit cramped, especially when we get a new shipment in and have wooden boxes everywhere in the aisles. We don't have a big neon sign, just the name painted over the door. Gangarampur is a nice place to live, and we’ve been part of this street for a long time. Sometimes my kids come after school to help move things around or sweep the floor. We don't do much in the way of big sales or promotions. We just tell you the price and hope it works for your budget. It’s a simple way to earn a living, and we enjoy seeing the familiar faces of our neighbors every day.
