We are based out in Goalpara, right along NH-34 near the Post Devi Nagar area in Uttar Dinajpur. It is a busy spot because of all the trucks and tractors that pull in from the surrounding farms. The office isn't much to look at, just a sturdy building that has seen a lot of seasons. We spend most of our time dealing with the agricultural side of things, specifically helping the local cooperatives get their crops moved and marketed properly. On a typical morning, you’ll see plenty of people coming through the gates with paperwork or asking about the current rates. The road outside is always loud with the sound of highway traffic, and there is usually a bit of dust in the air when the wind picks up. We have a few desks and a lot of old files that tell the story of the harvests over the years. It is a practical place where the work is more important than how things look. Most of the staff here have been part of the local community for their whole lives, so we know the land and the people well. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit muddy, but we just put on our boots and keep going. It is honest work and we stay busy from sunrise until the late afternoon when the last of the trucks finally head out. We just keep things moving.
