Manubhai C. Panchal And Co. has been operating out of this spot near Desaiwada for quite a while now. We are right opposite the Chab Talav on Godhra Road, which is a busy stretch of pavement most times of the day. You can see the water from the pond across the way, and sometimes in the mornings, it looks quite still before the traffic really kicks in. The dust from the road tends to settle on everything, so there is a fair bit of cleaning to do every few hours. It’s just how things are here. People stop by because they recognize the name or they were just passing by on their way into town. Being near the Talav makes it easy for folks to find us if they get lost. We don’t have fancy signs or anything like that. Just the building and the work we do inside. Some days the heat is a bit much, especially since we are so close to the main road, but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving enough. The neighborhood around Desaiwada is filled with people who have been here for generations, so we know most of the faces that walk past our door. It is a simple setup we have, nothing too complicated or flashy. We just open up in the morning, do what needs doing, and close when the sun starts to dip behind the buildings across the street.
