Our place, Makharia Netting Pvt. Ltd., sits on Chakalia Road inside the Makharia Complex. If you are sending us a letter, it goes to P.O. Box 107. We spend our days surrounded by nets of all kinds. It’s a specific kind of work, and it takes up a lot of space, so the complex is usually full of rolls and bundles. The road outside can get a bit rough, especially when it rains, but we manage. Inside, it smells like the materials we use, which is something you just get used to after a week. It’s a practical setup. We don’t have fancy furniture or a reception desk with a bowl of mints. Usually, you’ll just find one of us sitting at a desk covered in ledgers and notes. We’ve been at this for some time, and we’ve learned a lot about what works and what doesn't. We take things as they come. If a customer needs something specific, we talk it over and see what we can do. There is no script here. We just speak plainly. The workers have been with us for years, so we feel more like a team than a corporation. It’s a lot of manual work, checking the mesh and making sure everything is tight.
