Govt. Hospital

We are the government hospital located right at Santrampur. It’s a small town, so the hospital is a big part of the daily life for many people here. If you are from Santrampur, you know the way to our gates. The building is simple and doesn’t have many frills. We have a few wards and a main area where the doctors sit. People start showing up very early, sometimes even before we open the main doors. They wait outside in the yard. We have a lot of paperwork because everything has to be recorded by hand in the big ledgers. It’s a slow process sometimes, but we get through it. The staff is mostly local, so we know a lot of the patients by their first names. It’s not like those big city hospitals where everything is automated. Here, we still do things the old-fashioned way. The corridors are a bit narrow and the benches are made of wood. It can get quite noisy when the children are around. We don’t have any fancy slogans or anything like that. We just provide a place for people to come when they have a fever or need a checkup. It’s a practical, everyday kind of place. We focus on getting the daily tasks done and making sure we have enough supplies for the next day. The sun gets quite strong in the afternoon, so it gets a bit warm inside, but we manage. Most days are much the same as the one before. It is what it is.
