Essar Engineering Services Limited is based over in Godhra at 5-Ankur Society 2, right off Bamroli Road. Being in a residential society like Ankur Society makes the workspace feel a bit different than a typical industrial park. It’s a bit quieter, which helps when we are deep into calculations or drawing up plans. We've been here in Gujarat for quite a bit now, and we've gotten to know the neighbors and the local rhythms. The office is really just a functional space where we keep our computers and our technical library. We aren't trying to impress anyone with expensive furniture or a lobby. Most of our day involves looking at schematics and talking through technical issues over the phone. We drink a lot of tea and try to stay cool when the Gujarat heat really kicks in during the summer months. It's a small operation, and we like it that way because it keeps things simple. We don't have a whole department for marketing or public relations. If there is a problem, we just sit down and fix it. The people working here are practical and don't care much for corporate buzzwords. We just do the engineering work that’s expected of us and try to make sure everything is accurate. It’s a steady life here in Godhra, and we just focus on the tasks at hand every single day without making a big fuss about things.
