We operate out of Godhra, not too far from Ahmedabad. It’s a place where people know how to work hard. Our setup for Engineers India Ltd is quite basic. We don’t see the point in spending money on shiny office decorations when the work is what counts. Most days we arrive early to beat the heat. The office has a few old desks and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. It's a bit cluttered with project maps and technical manuals. Sometimes we have to move stacks of paper just to find a place to sit and eat lunch. Ahmedabad is a big city, and being in Godhra gives us a bit of a different perspective. It's more grounded here. We deal with people directly and don't use a lot of complicated talk. If someone needs to find us, they just ask around. There’s a lot of dust in the air sometimes, so we spend a fair bit of time sweeping. It’s a very manual, hands-on environment. We don’t have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It’s just a small group of us trying to keep things moving forward. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the day's tasks. It’s a very straightforward way of doing business. Nothing fancy, just honest work done by people who live right here in the area and understand how things work. It’s a simple life and we like it.
