Out here on Chakalia Road, things move at a certain pace. Makharia Netting Pvt. Ltd. operates out of the Makharia Complex, and if you’re looking for us, you’ll probably see the rolls of netting before you see the sign. We’ve been at this spot, Post Box 107, for quite some time. The building is solid, but it’s seen better days. Inside, it’s mostly just stacks of material and the smell of industrial twine. It’s not the kind of place you’d come for a tour. It’s a workspace. We spend a lot of time checking the mesh and making sure the rolls are packed tight for transport. The yard outside gets pretty muddy when it rains, which makes loading the trucks a real chore. We have a few guys who have been with us since the beginning. They know exactly how the machines sound when they’re running right. We don't spend money on fancy rugs or bright lights. Most of our light comes from the open bay doors. It gets quiet in the evenings once the machines stop, and that’s when we catch up on the paperwork. Chakalia Road has changed a bit over the years, more traffic mostly, but our corner of the complex stays pretty much the same. We just keep making nets for whoever needs them. It’s steady work. Nothing more, nothing less. We just try to get things done without too much fuss or extra chatter.
