Our main operations for Meghmani Organic Ltd. are over at Plot No. Ch-1 Ch2/a in the Gidc Industrial Estate. It’s a big site with a lot of steel structures and pipes running everywhere. We don't spend much time worrying about how the place looks to outsiders. It’s a factory, not a mall. Most of our staff are local people who know the rhythm of the plant. We have shifts that run through the night sometimes, and the lights stay on when the rest of the estate is quiet. We make organic compounds, which involves a lot of heat and pressure. You can hear the hum of the cooling towers from a block away. We don't have a glossy corporate handbook. New guys just learn by watching the older workers. It’s a lot of manual labor and keeping an eye on the gauges. We have a small canteen where we eat lunch together. The talk is usually about the weather or the cricket scores, not about business strategy. We just focus on hitting our production targets and making sure the quality doesn't slip. It’s a tough job sometimes, especially in the humidity, but we’ve been doing it for years. We aren't here to impress anyone with big speeches or marketing talk. We just keep the machines running and ensure the shipments go out to the customers who rely on us. It is a noisy, busy place.
