Shree Ganesh Saw Mill

Our saw mill, Shree Ganesh Saw Mill, is at Plot No. 1008 in the GIDC. It is a place where we spend the whole day cutting through big logs of wood. You can hear the machinery from a distance before you even see us. The air always has that heavy scent of pine or teak depending on what we are working on that day. It is a loud environment, and we wear our earplugs most of the time. We have been part of the GIDC community for quite a while now. The ground is usually covered in thick layers of sawdust that we have to sweep up at the end of every shift. We aren't doing anything fancy, just processing wood for people who need it. The machinery needs a lot of looking after so it doesn't break down when we have a big pile of logs waiting. It is heavy, physical work and we go home tired every evening. We don't have a big marketing team or a shiny website. We just have our plot number and our saws. People come to us when they need specific sizes of timber. We just try to be honest about how long a job will take and what the wood looks like. It is a simple life of measuring twice and cutting once. We don't mind the noise and the mess, it's just what happens at a saw mill. We take the logs as they come.
