Shree Odhavram Plastics

Down here at Rakholikilwani Naka in Silvassa, we run this plastic business. It’s an industrial part of town, so there are lots of warehouses around us. We have our machines set up and they run pretty much all day long. We make various plastic items, mostly things that people use every day without thinking about it. The building is large and can get quite warm when the heaters are on. We don't have a fancy front office or a reception desk. Usually, you just walk in and find someone on the floor working. We spend a lot of our time watching the molds and making sure the plastic is melting correctly. If something goes wrong, it makes a mess, so we have to stay alert. We’ve been in Silvassa for a while now and we know the roads and the other businesses nearby. We don't do any big marketing campaigns. Most of our orders come from people who just know we are here and what we can do. The trucks come and go from the yard throughout the week. Sometimes we have to work late to finish a big batch, but we don't mind the extra hours. We just focus on keeping the machines maintained and the output steady. It is honest work and it keeps the lights on. We keep our tools organized on the wall so we can find them when something needs a quick fix. We also have a small kettle for tea in the corner.
