You can find us right opposite the B. Ed College on Colony Road here in Mandi. Being across from the college means we see a lot of students coming in for pens, paper, and all the usual things they need for their classes. It is a busy road, especially during the times when classes are changing and the street fills up with young people. Sirsa can get quite dusty, so the front of the shop usually needs a good wipe down every couple of hours. We have a counter that has seen a lot of use over the years, and the wooden floorboards creak a bit when you walk near the back. We don't have any fancy signs or big advertisements; people just know we are here because we have been in this spot on Colony Road for a long time. The Mandi area has its own rhythm, and we are just a small part of it. Sometimes the students stay and chat for a bit while they wait for their photocopies or for a friend to show up. We keep things pretty simple and just focus on keeping the shelves stocked with the basics. It’s not a complicated business, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We like the energy of the college being right there, as it makes the days go by a lot faster than if we were in a quiet residential area.
