Till Date Gammon India Ltd

Our office is in Sector-11 of the CDA area in Cuttack. It’s 1D/77, a quiet enough spot compared to the main market areas. Till Date Gammon India Ltd has been here for a while now. The building is a standard one for this part of Odisha. We have a few rooms filled with desks and old drafting boards. It’s a bit dusty because of all the construction work that goes on around the city. We spend our mornings going over plans and checking on things. The tea stall down the street is where we usually go for a break. Cuttack is an old city, and you can feel that history even in the newer parts like CDA. We don’t have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls, maybe just a calendar and some site photos. The staff here are local people who know the area well. We talk in a mix of Odia and English most of the time. The summers are hot, so we try to get most of the heavy work done early in the morning. It’s a straightforward place to work. We don't have any big corporate slogans on the walls or mission statements in frames. We just come in, do what needs to be done, and then lock up for the day. Sometimes we stay late if there’s a deadline, but mostly we stick to the regular hours. It’s a practical way to run things.
