Orissa Stevedores Limited

We are based out in the Cuttack district, specifically in a place called Badawaubarai near Sailo Jharapada. Orissa Stevedores Limited has been around this area for quite some time. Stevedoring is the kind of work that most people don't think about much, but it's what we do day in and day out. We deal with the loading and the logistics that come with moving goods. Our location here isn't in the middle of a big city, which suits us just fine. It’s a bit more rural and quiet until the work starts. We have a lot of local guys working with us who know the roads and the way things move in this part of Orissa. There aren't any fancy mission statements on the walls or corporate logos on every pen. It's just a place of work. We have some sheds and an office area where we keep the records of what’s going where. Sometimes the weather makes the transport side of things a bit of a headache, but you learn to deal with the mud and the heat. We just focus on getting the cargo sorted and making sure the trucks are where they need to be. We have been part of this community for years, even if the work is just about moving heavy loads.
