Orissa & Tax Consultant is tucked away near the Orissa High Court in Cuttack. We’re specifically in the Kusumpur area. Being so close to the court means it’s always a bit hectic around here with people rushing back and forth. Our office is a simple setup where we deal with all the tax stuff that comes across our desks. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We spend a lot of time looking at numbers and filling out forms for people who find it all a bit confusing. The office itself is full of files and folders, probably more than we actually need, but that’s how it goes in this line of work. We’ve been here long enough that we know the shortcuts through the back lanes to avoid the worst of the traffic. It’s a practical location for what we do. Most of the people who come to see us are looking for someone who won't use a lot of big words or make things more complicated than they already are. We just sit down, look at the papers, and try to figure things out one step at a time. It’s a lot of routine, but it keeps us busy. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet is slow, and we just have to wait it out like everyone else in the neighborhood. It’s just how things are.
