New Jasmine

We are located in Gandarpur, right by College Square in Cuttack. It’s a busy area because of Utkal Automobile nearby and all the students walking around. The shop isn't very large, so it can get a bit cramped during the lunch hour. We’ve been here for a while now, watching the neighborhood change as new buildings go up. Most of our customers are either students looking for something cheap or people working in the nearby offices. We start early in the morning to get the prep work done before the first crowd arrives. The kitchen is small but we manage to make it work. Sometimes the wait is a little long when it gets packed, but people don’t seem to mind too much. We don't use any fancy equipment, just the same pots and pans we've had for years. The staff is mostly local guys who live just a few streets away. We don't have air conditioning, so the ceiling fans are always running at full speed. It gets quite humid here in Cuttack, which makes the kitchen even hotter. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a simple life, running a small place like this. We know which students are studying for exams because they come in looking tired. We just provide a place to sit and eat for a bit before they go back to their day.
