This part of Jajpur called Kalinga Nagar is basically all steel and industry these days. We are right in the middle of it all at Mesco Steel. If you are looking for where we operate, we are over by Jajpur Road, specifically near the Ashok Metal Industry. Biaja Prasad Nayak is the one who handles the daily things at this location in Dala. It is a very busy area with trucks carrying ore and finished steel up and down the roads at all hours of the day and night. The air always has that metallic smell to it which you just get used to. My desk is tucked away in a corner of the building and it stays pretty dusty no matter how many times I wipe it down during the week. We do not have any fancy signs or a big lobby for visitors. It is just a practical place for people who work with metal. The post office is at Dala so that is where all our mail goes. Living and working in Jajpur means you get used to the noise of the machines and the heat from the plants. It is a community of workers really. Everyone knows everyone else from the different industries nearby. Ashok Metal is right there too so we see those guys every day. It is just a lot of honest work being done in this corner of Orissa. The work is steady and that is what matters.
