Maa Kali Traders

Maa Kali Traders is our business. Our shop is located in Banya Sahi. It’s right opposite Jyoti Nursery School. You can hear the children singing rhymes in the morning when the windows are open. It’s a nice sound to start the day with. We are part of the Bakashi Bazra area. It’s a local community kind of place. We sell all sorts of things that people in the neighborhood need for their homes. The shop is small and has a lot of shelves that reach all the way up to the ceiling. I use a rickety old ladder to get things from the top when someone asks. My wife helps me with the daily accounts in the evenings. We have a small TV in the corner that we watch the news on while we wait. It’s a simple life for us. We aren't some big corporation with branches everywhere. It’s just this one spot. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. Sometimes we sit outside on the bench and talk to the neighbors when it's not too hot. The shop is painted a light yellow, but it’s peeling a bit near the bottom from the rain. We have a small shrine for Maa Kali inside where we light incense every morning. It smells good throughout the day. We just try to provide what people ask for without any fuss.
